What is the Getting Ahead Class?

The Getting Ahead Class is an 18-week, hands-on workshop that empowers individuals who struggle in poverty reach their fullest potential, develop their future story, and build a support system.

We help families with transportation!

Lack of transportation is a HUGE barrier for families in need. Through volunteers, community partnerships, and donations we provide our families with vehicles and help with maintenance and repairs.

Youth Nights are a great way for students 3rd-12th grade to have a safe, social setting once per week on Tuesday evenings. The kids will be given a free dinner meal, snacks, games, and a quick lesson in small groups.

Do you know a student who needs a second chance?

We all deserve second chances, and at City Hope it can be found. Students who dropped out of high school can join our free recovery program that helps them get back on track through a part-time online study that gets them a diploma once completed.

Safe Trick or Treat Halloween Night

On Halloween night, Thursday, October 31st, the Burlington Police Department is hosting their annual, “Safe Trick-or-Treat.” Bring your kiddos and their friends to the Burlington Memorial Auditorium between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and enjoy a safe, worry-free trick-or-treatin’ night.

The hunger crisis and poverty barriers that our Burlington-area families face each day cannot be defeated by one person. Together we can stand against these obstacles. We are a community that loves and cares for one another, the way God loves us. With your help, we can give our families what they need to improve their quality of life.
