What is the Getting Ahead Class?

The Getting Ahead Class is an 18-week, hands-on workshop that empowers individuals who struggle in poverty reach their fullest potential, develop their future story, and build a support system.

Lack of transportation is a HUGE barrier for families in need. Through volunteers, community partnerships, and donations we provide our families with vehicles and help with maintenance and repairs.

Youth Nights are a great way for students 3rd-12th grade to have a safe, social setting once per week on Tuesday evenings. The kids will be given a free dinner meal, snacks, games, and a quick lesson in small groups.

Do you know a student who needs a second chance?

We all deserve second chances, and at City Hope it can be found. Students who dropped out of high school can join our free recovery program that helps them get back on track through a part-time online study that gets them a diploma once completed.

Catch this cool-me-down treat July 1st through July 4th, from 11 AM – 7 PM daily! While you’re there grabbing your float, Hy-Vee also has some fantastic meat sales perfect for your 4th of July BBQ! 🥩

And here’s the cherry on top: We’ll be collecting donations for our City Hope food pantries to help meet urgent community needs. It’s a perfect chance to treat yourself and make a difference! We’re all about building relationships and sharing hope. Come say hi! đź‘‹

We accept a wide variety of items, from clothing to hygiene to baby items. All items need to be clean and either new, never used, or gently-used. All items will be inspected before receiving them.
